Everyone in our life experience the withdrawal of blood from the veins of our arm this process is called phlebotomy. The process is commonly used for medical or laboratory tests, blood donation, and other purposes or therapies. 

Phlebotomy is important and an integral part of medical treatment because withdrawing blood for the body of patients, not any medical experts proves the medical conditions of a patient. After phlebotomy, the blood samples from the body of patients send to the laboratory for the diagnosis of the virus or disease.    



What is the process of phlebotomy?

Phlebotomy is a simple process and it is not difficult nor painful. Just an irritation of the syringe is the pain that patients feel in the process of phlebotomy. To draw the blood from the body the medical experts ask you to roll out your sleeves and tight your fist and then he ties a band that’s called a tourniquet at the top of your arm. You will see then you vein in which the blood will draw will pop up because of the band and fist then expert insert a needle into the vein to draw the blood the syringe is attached with the tube is filled with your blood sample and the process of phlebotomy is complete. After the process the people can feel uncomfortable such as excessive sweating, blood pressure may be down, feel dizzy or weak or faint. These are some common issues that just last for a few hours because it is the response of the nervous system when it gets normal everything will be normal as well.

What is therapeutic phlebotomy?

In the process of removal of extra red blood cells and ions from the body, therapeutic phlebotomy is used. This is actually a treatment for the people suffering from particular medical conditions such as 

         Sickle cell disease

         Polycythemia vera

         Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease 

         Porphyria cutanea tarda 

The person who is responsible for phlebotomy is called phlebotomy. They are experts in the process of phlebotomy because they have done the training and mostly come from medical backgrounds. Phlebitis is a medical assistant.
