WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

Medical assistants are health care professionals who check your heart rate, body weight and other sign and symptoms. 

These medical assistant ask your information or any health difficulty if you suffer with then pass it to the doctor.

Medical assistant can be a doctor no matter how long he has been working with a doctor. They cannot give any advice to the patients. Their duties are limited to collecting information and preparing the doctor and patient for the medical visit.

WHAT DOES A MEDICAL ASSISTANT DO?

  • Answering phones and scheduling appointments

  • Greeting patients and their families 

  • Filing and updating medical records 

  • Coding and completing insurance forms

  • Making arrangements for a hospital visit or laboratory test 

  • Handling billing, bookkeeping, and general office mail 

  • Discussing prescription and dietary changes with patients 

  • Dispensing medications  

  • Handling prescription refill requests

  • Removing stitches or changing wound dressings 

  • Drawing blood for lab tests 

  • Doing electrocardiograms (heart test) and other medical tests 


WHAT ARE THE REQUIRMENTS TO BECOME CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

If you want to become certified medical assistant then you should have high school degree then he must pass certain examinations. 

But if a person voluntarily works in a hospital or clinic so he or she can do it. But passing the CMA test is the necessary requirement.
